The team

Jon Previtali, Co-Founder
CEO · Co-Founder · Consultant
20+ years of technical due diligence, project finance, and risk advisory across solar, storage, wind, and fuel cell — and the transactions that finance them.
Jon built Wells Fargo’s technical due diligence practice for renewable energy tax equity from the ground up, scaling it to $2 billion in annual deployments and $10 billion of financing behind roughly $30 billion of projects. At VDE Americas he served as VP and Senior Principal Engineer and initiated the leading hail risk model for solar. Representative projects appear in our capability statement.
Before banking, Jon provided independent engineering, owner engineering, and construction monitoring for utility-scale PV plants and portfolios on Black & Veatch’s Solar PV Services team. Earlier he held product management roles at SunEdison, commercializing third-party O&M, fleet monitoring, and remote operations services for solar fleets, and consulted for HOMER Energy — now part of UL — the global standard for microgrid modeling and optimization. Jon holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and an MS in Civil, Environmental & Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Nolan Erck, Co-Founder

25+ years of enterprise software engineering, SaaS, and AI tooling, including platforms built for the renewable energy sector.
Talks & Publications ↗Nolan started out shipping games at LucasArts and Maxis and now focuses on AI and SaaS applications. He architected the software, infrastructure, and QA program at e-Mission Control, a SaaS platform for renewable energy adoption, and managed US engineering at DistroKid.
Through his consultancy South of Shasta ↗, Nolan is available as a fractional CTO and software consultant, building secure, high-reliability web and mobile systems for clients including Adobe, Intuit, NASA, and AeroJet.
Brian Grenko, Senior Advisor

25+ years leading solar and storage businesses across evaluation, manufacturing, development, and financing.
Brian spent a decade at VDE Americas, as Vice President and then President and CEO, building and diversifying its advisory business. His engineering teams supported financing for more than $15 billion in solar and storage across 250-plus projects, and he supported the development of the hail risk modeling service that won the 2022 US DOE American-Made Solar Prize.
He now advises renewable and storage companies as Principal at Jonao. Earlier he founded Amplify Energy, acquired by DNV, led technology at Yingli Solar, and came up through manufacturing quality at AstroPower and GE Energy. Brian holds a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
Meghan Sheedy, Marketing

25+ years of marketing, communications, and business operations, including inside the renewable energy due diligence sector.
Meghan leads NED’s marketing, communications, and brand, and consults with clients promoting projects, products, and services.
She spent 2022 to 2026 in business operations and marketing at VDE Americas, helped launch Public Bikes at Studio Forbes, and began her career in San Francisco communications at GCI and FleishmanHillard.
